A quality home should meet your family’s needs both aesthetically and functionally. At Trinity Builders, we work thoughtfully to match your unique lifestyle with preservation and craftmanship of a long gone era. We build our creations to last a lifetime, and we do this by valuing quality and attention to detail over fast profits and cheap materials. Here at Trinity Builders, we strive to preserve the past and build the future using modern techniques, natural materials, and old world craftsmanship.

John Brogan is a master carpenter and the founder of Trinity Builders. He follows a long line of builders as the fourth generation carpenter in his family. John grew up in southern Indiana in a 1826 farmhouse that he and his grandfather restored themselves, igniting a life-long passion for working with his hands and restoring the craftsmanship of the past. As a teenager, John attended a trades high school where he focused on construction of custom built homes. By the time John was 20, he had built five homes from the ground up, restored two old cabins, and worked for a custom home builder.

John took a short hiatus from building full time to earn his B.S in Microbiology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University on an Army ROTC scholarship. He ranked number 10 out of 5000 cadets nationwide and went on to serve four years in the Army Infantry, completing Army Airborne, Air Assault, and earning his Ranger Tab before deploying to Afghanistan where he was awarded two Bronze Stars. It was during this time that he learned how to lead a team towards a goal no matter how difficult the circumstances.

John returned to building after his military service. He worked on a small crew in Chicago where he learned to value quality over everything else while building high end homes and additions valuing up to twenty million dollars. John then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he has continued to improve his craft, remodeling and restoring Victorian era homes. In 2021, John moved to Helena, Montana to continue working as a carpenter and to help his new community with their cabinetry and furniture projects.

Drawing from years of leadership, business, and craftsmanship experience, John founded Trinity Builders in 2020. The mission of Trinity Builders is to design one-of-a-kind furniture that blends form and function, create custom finish carpentry work and built-ins, and restore historic homes to meet the evolving needs of their clients and families using traditional craftsmanship standards and high-quality natural materials and techniques.
